The Association of Wisconsin Surgery Centers (WISCA) is proud to serve as your statewide membership association representing ambulatory surgery centers across Wisconsin.

Over the past few years, Wisconsin has seen a growth in new surgery center openings. With added growth comes greater opportunity. WISCA is proud to offer tools and resources, as well as coordinated advocacy and lobbying efforts aimed at enhancing the overall operation of ASCs in Wisconsin.

Looking for reasons to join WISCA or renew your existing membership? Here are just a few…

Quality & Safety Study

In 2015, WISCA plans to participate in a grant program funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality to study patient safety. The focus of the study is on the effective implementation and use of a surgical safety checklist, and education on clinical and cultural safety practices.

Professional Development/Continuing Education

WISCA annually hosts four Webinars, spring and fall membership meetings, and an Annual Clinical Forum. These programs provide timely updates on clinical and practice-based issues relevant to you and your staff. Complimentary registration is offered for members to participate in several of the educational offerings.

Interactive Website

A new website has been launched  showcasing new and added features including a searchable directory of ASCs in Wisconsin. The online directories will provide even greater membership value and become a great resource to the public to learn more about ASCs in Wisconsin.

Members receive complimentary participation on the WISCA list serve, where they may post questions, participate in discussion, and receive feedback from other members. In addition, WISCA members receive regular electronic communications containing timely news and information, and may access a password-protected online directory of members for sharing of resources.

Career Center

WISCA works to promote ASC career opportunities and leadership development to help grow the profession, and to further educate the public about the important role ASCs have in the health care delivery system. Members may post job openings on the website at no charge.

Legislative Representation

WISCA represents and advocates for members’ interests by retaining professional legislative services. The Legislative Committee meets regularly to monitor developments in the state legislature, act on legislation accordingly, and update members on important issues affecting their ASC.
