ICD 10: A Key Ingredient for Transformation of Healthcare
Attendees will be able to:
Identify key data uses for ICD-10 including policy, research, and improvement and clinical care.
List key implementation benchmarks for a successful October 1, 2013 transition.
List additional key regulatory changes that directly intersect with ICD-10 implementation.

Penny has more than 17 years of health care experience in Medicare compliance, coding and practice management. She currently presents educational programs on revenue cycle, health information and risk management for physician practices throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest with an emphasis on reducing waste, mitigating risk and improving quality. A Professional Medical Coding Curriculum Instructor, Penny is a founding member of the Wisconsin ICD-10 Partnership and an approved ICD-10 trainer. She is certified in health care compliance through the Health Care Compliance Association and serves on the Wisconsin Medical Group Management Association Third Party Payer and Medicare and Medicaid Workgroups.
