Spotlight on CMS Preparedness Final Rule: Wisconsin DHS ASC Toolkit

This month’s preparedness spotlight features the recently released ASC toolkit and accompanying workbook from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ (DHS).

The toolkit and workbook were developed by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services’ Health Care Preparedness Program, out of the Office of Preparedness and Emergency Health Care in the Division of Public Health. The toolkit provides an overview of the requirements for ASCs, along with sample templates to be used in planning efforts. The toolkit also features planning worksheets with example questions facilities can utilize to assist with drafting plans and policies. Included in the accompanying workbook are editable tools and templates found in the toolkit.

Download the ASC toolkit here. For the workbook, click here. View the DHS Emergency Preparedness Rule page here. For questions regarding the federal regulation for emergency preparedness, DHS recommends contacting your regional healthcare coalition coordinator. View contact information here.
