About the Panelists


Vera Pischke, RN, BS,CIC is an Infection Prevention Specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Public Health, Healthcare Acquired Infections Program in Madison, Wisconsin. Vera has been certified in infection prevention since 1995 with experience at acute care hospitals and ambulatory clinics across southeast Wisconsin.

 

 

 

Heather Kloth, RN, BSN is an is an Infection Prevention Specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Public Health, Healthcare Acquired Infections Program in Madison, Wisconsin. Heather has over 20 years’ experience in long-term care facilities and has extensive experience serving on a variety of infection prevention committees. 

 

 

 

Michael Lucey, MS, HSA is the Chief Executive Officer of Wauwatosa Surgery Center in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Michael’s start in healthcare began in the U.S. Air Force and his background includes a variety of roles, as a clinician, educator, administrator and consultant, in the ambulatory, inpatient and diagnostic environments.

 

 

 

Katherine Skell, RN, BSN, CIC serves as a System Infection Prevention Manager for Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Katherine’s role allows her to work towards infection prevention program development and standardization across multiple hospitals, including behavior health, and an extensive homecare program.

 

 

 

Mary Rustick, RN, BSN is the Infection Control Coordinator for GI Associates Endoscopy Center in Wausau, Wisconsin. Mary joined GI Associates Endoscopy Center in 2009 as a staff nurse and began her role as Infection Control Coordinator in 2011. She has been a GI nurse for the past 17 years and is a member of SGNA and APIC.
