AAAHC is seeking public comment on proposed revisions to the accreditation Standards for ambulatory health care. All interested parties, including AAAHC-accredited organizations, surveyors, ambulatory health care associations, medical specialty groups, regulatory agencies, and the public at large are encouraged to review and provide comments on the proposed revisions.

Reflected within the public comment process is 1095 Strong – quality every day, a call to action spearheaded by AAAHC to equip ambulatory leaders with the best of what they need to operationalize quality practices. One of the key drivers of this movement is Excellence & Relevance which focuses on the development of robust, peer-reviewed, evidence-based Standards that are specific to providers’ facility, practice, and organization. Public comment provides valuable feedback that supports AAAHC’s efforts to continue advancing the standard of care.

From 8:00 AM CT on May 1 through 5:00 PM CT on May 30, the proposed revisions will be available on the AAAHC website. Most of them address core Standards applicable to all accredited organizations, or adjunct Standards applicable to most. We welcome comments and request that you include the rationale behind any suggested changes. You will be able to view and comment on the proposed revisions all in one sitting, or a few at a time. We look forward to receiving your feedback.

1095 Strong is a movement and call-to-action being spearheaded by the AAAHC to equip ambulatory leaders with the best of what they need to operationalize quality practices. Adherence to rigorous standards of care and safety will help to ensure you deliver quality every day—1,095 days of your accreditation cycle.
