WISCA Committees

The board of directors has the authority to appoint committees as needed to support the work of the association.  Current committees include the Executive Committee, Nominations Committee and Education Committee. A description of each is included below. Interested members are asked to apply and are appointed to committees by the Board.

The 4 Officers shall serve as the Executive Committee of the Association and shall, subject to the authority and oversight of the Board of Directors, act to represent the interests of the Association and its membership between meetings of the general membership.

The Nominating Committee is responsible for recruiting and nominating Officers and Directors of the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee consists of 3 members of the Association, including the Immediate Past President. The chair of the Nominating Committee shall be the Immediate Past President. The Committee will meet 2-3 times annually, between June and August.

The Education Committee is an ad hoc committee of organizational members who help plan WISCA education programs and activities. The Committee is led by a board-appointed chair and meets monthly. Committee members are asked to help assess members’ educational interests, recommend speakers and help promote events. Committee members meet monthly for up to 1-hour; meetings are held virtually. Additional time between meetings may be needed to review materials, outreach (to members, speakers and sponsors) and onsite event support (moderate sessions).
