Keynote Presenters

Steve Miller, CAE, Chief Operating Officer, Ambulatory Surgery Center Association

Steve Miller serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association. In this capacity, he oversees ASCA’s state and federal legislative and regulatory, public outreach, membership marketing, strategic planning and research efforts. He previously was Director of Government and Public Affairs for ASCA.

Before joining ASCA, Miller served as the Director of OPHTHPAC and Political Affairs for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Senior Director of Legislative Affairs for the American Health Care Association. Miller has seven years of Capitol Hill experience that include serving as a Special Assistant to Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) and a Legislative Assistant to Representative James Bilbray (D-NV).


Kristin Baird, MHA, BSN, RN, President/CEO, Baird Group

Kristin Baird is known as healthcare’s customer-service guru. A registered nurse and 35-year veteran in healthcare, she is now a national consultant and author of five books. As President and CEO of Baird Group, she is a thought leader in transforming healthcare culture and shaping patient experience. Her firm helps numerous organizations achieve this through culture assessment, strategy, implementation, and mystery shopping. Baird is widely known for her content-rich webinars and on-site workshops.
Kristin and her team have helped countless healthcare organizations create positive, thriving, customer-centered cultures. She was named as an Entrepreneur 360 by Entrepreneur Magazine in 2015.

The poster presentations will feature programs and projects from all over the state. All posters will be eligible to win a drawing for one free 2020 Annual Forum registration. Possible topics include: infection control, safety, patient experience and quality improvement projects. If you are involved in a study, project or program that would be beneficial to How to Make Your ASC the Destination of Choice, the Education Committee invites you to submit your poster online for consideration! Deadline is February 1, 2019.

Hotel Accommodations

Cancellation Policy
