Lead your ASC to victory at the WISCA 2018 Annual Forum as you navigate the Quality Roadmap with Ray Grundman, MSN, MPA, FNP-BC, CASC, AAAHC Surveyor and Kris Kilgore, RN, BSN, Administrative Director, Surgical Care Center of Michigan. This session will cover common survey deficiencies and how to avoid them. Attendees will recognize the top six areas of concern for accreditation in 2018, review the related accreditation standards and surveyor comments associated with noted deficiencies and identify strategies for compliance with 2018 accreditation standards.


Ray Grundman has been involved in ambulatory health care for over 30 years in a variety of roles, as a clinician, administrator, educator, and consultant practicing as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, medical group practice administrator, and founder and Executive Director of several surgery centers. He is currently the Senior Director - External Relations for AAAHC. An active member of MGMA for many years, he has twice served as President of its Ambulatory Surgery Management Society specialty assembly. He is the founding President of the Wisconsin Surgery Center Association. He served 9 years on the Board of Directors of FASA and 13 years on the Board of Directors and President of AAAHC. He is an active surveyor for AAAHC and a faculty member for surveyor training. He is also faculty in the AORN Ambulatory Surgery Administrator certification program.

For over 28 years, Kristine Kilgore has been Administrative Director for Grand Rapids Ophthalmology’s Surgical Care Center. She has served as Surveyor with Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) for over 20 years; an AAAHC Accreditation Committee Member since 2006; and an IQI Committee Member since 2013. Throughout her 10+ years as an AAAHC Faculty Member, Kristine has had the privilege of teaching at their Quarterly Achieving Accreditation Meetings on the topics of: Infection Control, Risk Management, Safety, Quality Improvement, Anesthesia/Surgical Services, and CMS Guidelines.
